Don’t miss your opportunity
Defra has confirmed that approximately 75% of the £60 million budget for the first SFI26 application window has now been allocated.
The Secretary of State for Defra has also confirmed that the £60 million budget for Window 1 is fixed and will not be increased, regardless of demand. With funding becoming increasingly limited, eligible farmers who are considering applying should act sooner rather than later.
While there was a surge of applications when the scheme opened, demand has now steadied and remains in line with Defra’s expectations. However, with a significant proportion of the available funding already allocated, submitting your application promptly is advisable.
If you think you may be eligible for SFI Window 1, or you’re looking ahead to SFI Window 2, which is expected to open in September, to all farmers. Our English Grants team is here to support you.
