- A small but quality show of cull sheep forward today. Meat was easy to place and regularly trading £160+.

- A very mixed show of ewes today as many now weaning. Best continental and suffolk ewes all £150+ topping at £208.

- A firm lamb trade with good competition on all the sheep forward. Trade would be slightly up on last week with lambs topping at 392ppk and an overall average of 348ppk.

- A similar trade to earlier in the week to average 334.8ppk. Easiest selling lambs were those over 44 kilos which had plenty of cover, these mainly trading over £150 per head and up to £160+.

- A drop in trade which is always hard to stomach. I am told there has been a strike in France by lorry drivers, but whatever caused it, it was not helpful. Lambs topped at 390ppk with an SQQ average of 344ppk.
