About Our Livestock Markets

At McCartneys, our five main livestock markets are the heart of our agricultural services. We host regular finished stock, store, pedigree, and equine sales where our clients connect with a focus on animal welfare and market transparency.

Brecon Livestock Market

Brecon Market is located on the edge of the town in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons). The market is owned by Powys County Council and has a national reputation for its monthly sales of suckler bred store cattle, which draws buyers from all over the UK. The monthly store sales draw consistent numbers of quality cattle throughout the year.
