Portcullis Fine Art & Antiques

Based in the historic market town of Ludlow, we hold monthly auctions of Antiques & Collectibles to include Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, antique silver and jewellery, porcelain and pottery, paintings and objects of art.

About Us

The Auction Room is located at the Head Office at Ludlow Livestock Market.  We have a bespoke sale room for our monthly sales of antiques, Fine Art and Collectibles. Our Auction House staff includes our valuers, administration office staff and sale room porters who are on hand to advise and help. Our monthly sales attract between 500-600 lots. We offer assistance and advice with house clearances, as well as valuations for sale and probate purposes. Our auctions have the benefit of two online bidding platforms along with in-person attendance in the sale room.

All of our Auctions are available on both  Easy Live Auction  &  The Saleroom  and we would encourage people to utilise this service. Please note that if you buy online you cannot collect on the day of the Sale.

Catalogues are available to purchase for £1.00 each during viewing or can be downloaded from our website on the week of the auction in the ‘Forthcoming Sales & Catalogues’ tab above.

Alternatively, please email fineart@mccartneys.co.uk to be added to our Mailing List and you will receive an email 3-4 days prior to each auction with the links to the online platforms, the catalogue in a PDF version and up to date information regarding individual auctions and collections.
